Miriam had fun spending the day with Aunt Kathryn in Andeville. She actually behaved herself!

Well, we're back from our trip! It was was a lot of fun and a whirlwind trip so by the end of it we were ready for a break (especially after the last stretch was 42 hrs long). We saw a lot of places, met a lot of people, tried new foods and were so well loved and taken care of by our friends. Miriam did much better than we ever expected. She was a trooper and put up with a lot of impromptu outings. She's such a socialite that as long as there was someone who would pay attention to her, she would be happy no matter how tired and grumpy.
There were a few adventures here and there but it wasn't until we got back to Chicago that our bags decided to stay in Amsterdam. We've gotten one bag and our stroller back but there's still one missing in action. ugh! Here are a few pictures of us... we ended up with pictures from the last half of our trip. The first part we burned onto a cd and that got lost with our bag. Thankfully, our friend kept the pics on his computer so they aren't forever lost!

Tomorrow we begin our journey to Europe. It's been a long road and a ton of planning but it's actually here! I wish I could say that we were 100% ready for our flight tomorrow but all three of us have been sick for the past week. Nothing that a bit of good Turkish air and food can't cure, right? I was going to try to update our travels during the trip but it looks like it will have to wait until we get back. Pray for us as we seek God's direction!

Where are we going???

For those of you who are wondering why we're packing.... David is graduating from Wheaton's graduate program on May 5th and we decided to put our things into storage for the summer since we're planning a 5 week trip to Europe. We'll be visiting Turkey, Greece, Albania, Italy, France and Spain! It should be quite interesting with a little 9 month old in tow!
I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures to share when we get back!
